RASTAN SAGA by Taito Arcade – ZX Spectrum VS C64 + AMSTRAD SEGA Master System + Game Gear comparison

Rastan Saga or Rastan as it was known in North America was released in the arcades in 1987 by Taito. It was an instant hit as fantasy was huge back then with youngsters buying into Dungeons and Dragons, Fighting Fantasy books and of course Arnold Schwarzenegger as Conan the Barbarian helped its popularity ! We look at the arcade version and then compare the 8 Bit home computer conversions of the day featuring the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and the Amstrad CPC. Then a look at the 8 Bit console that is the SEGA Master System and its handheld equivalent the SEGA Game Gear. So which home conversion comes out on top? All will be revealed in OGDuffy’s verdict in another classic VS video !

So lets take a look firstly at Rastan Saga on the Arcade followed by the 8 Bit systems featuring:
Commodore 64
Sinclair ZX Spectrum
Amstrad CPC

And then the following 8 Bit consoles:
Sega Master System
Sega Game Gear
